Amanda de la Rosa

Bodyguard to the Princess · The Crown in Exile

“Words, your grace. Words.”

First Sword of the King: bodyguard, in the way that a drawn blade is a fashion accessory. Her hand does not leave her sword. Her assessments do not soften. At the war council she asked Axel the only question she considered relevant, "Can you control it?", and took his honest no, and voted to abandon him where he stood. The Queen overruled her. She complied, and kept watching.

Words, your grace. Words.

She is the reason RocĂo is still alive and still unmarried to any of her own worse impulses, having talked the Princess out of joining the Agrilla raid on pure succession arithmetic. She caught Grigori's perfect-perspective map in one glance and named it impossible. She gave Axel a single respectful nod, once, which witnesses describe as more unsettling than her hostility.

A dark-haired woman with a dueler's sword stands very near the center of several of this campaign's unanswered questions. Draw your own conclusions; she certainly won't help you.
