Dr. Coronel

Dr. Coronel

The King's physician · Persons of Interest

“Irreplaceable.”

Coronel has spent his captivity differently from most of Agrilla's prisoners. His cell contains a proper bed, medical journals, books, and the means to keep writing. He is still behind a locked door, and the company needs what he knows about the King's prison without walls.

Across from the girl

When the company reaches him, Coronel urgently warns them about the neighboring chamber. He waves urgently at its sacred protections and holds up a written warning: Do not open her chamber.

He communicates with notes. The reason he does not speak has not been established. Diego works on the lock while Coronel tries to understand who has come for him.

What he will carry

Once the door opens, Coronel gathers far more books and papers than the company can take. Asked to choose, he writes a single word: Irreplaceable. A coat is offered to bundle what he can manage.

He wants to know who his rescuers are. Told they need him to help free the King, he refers to the prison without walls and offers to explain once they get him out. The escape stops at the arrival of Sister Ines Valcazar and Capitan Inquisidor Esteban Virello. Coronel is free of his cell, but remains inside Agrilla.
