Yvette

Yvette

Porté sorceress of Montaigne · Former Company

“Close your eyes.”

Montaigne noblewoman, Porté sorceress, and for the campaign's first arc the company's voice in every language that mattered. It was Yvette who heard words inside the ghouls' hissing and stopped a massacre mid-swing; every piece of intelligence the company owns about the Shiny One came through her. It was Yvette who bluffed the monastery gate as Lady Maria Santiago, and Yvette who cut her own hands to portal the dying Crespo out.

She left in the spring, in the ambassador's carriage, visibly troubled, with farewells that read differently now than they did then.

You carry more than you admit. Do not let it carry you instead.

Two uncomfortable things have surfaced since. Lord Brousseau murmured something at that carriage the coachman would not repeat. And in Aruma's vision, Ruprett spoke of a Montaigne woman with hair of fire: "That apple simply wasn't ripe. I sent her away to fester for a bit." Her seat is kept. Her thread is not closed.
